A play by Leslie Tanner. Author of Jason and the Argonauts, Shorespeare, Night of the Muses and High School Live!
Middle School Live was first collaboratively written with the 8th grader drama class and teacher, Leslie Tanner, at Henley Middle School in Charlottesville, Virginia. "Middle School Live" is a series of skits that include parodies of middle school life, outrageous news stories, fairy tale characters rapping, a game show and so much more. Each skit is weaved together by Seussical commercials filled with songs and dancing. Think Saturday Night Live, but middle school style.
Cast Size: This play needs a minimum of 25 characters, but can be less if you are only using some of the skits. There are over 60 plus characters in this play, but many can be and should be doubled. The genders in this play are very flexible and I encourage dressing up as the opposite gender in some of the parts to add to the comedy of the play.
Running Time: 60 minutes.
Royalty Rate: $50.00 per performance.
Appropriate for all ages.
