Submissions
Thank you very much for your interest in our company HOWEVER we are NOT accepting any new plays for publication at this time.
Submission Requirements!!!
(If we were accepting new plays, which we are not.)
Follow these to the letter and your chances of publication will increase 1000%.
1. Follow the sample script to the letter. Microsoft Word Document only. Times New Roman Font, 10pt.
2. Paper size should be 5.06 x 7.81.
3. The margins should be as follows: TOP: 0.75, BOTTOM: 0.75, LEFT: 0.75, RIGHT: 0.5 and GUTTER: .375. And select MIRROR MARGINS for the whole document.
4. All Character names, as well as pronouns are to be in ALL CAPS throughout the script. (Not in Dialogue, of course.)
5. Character names should start on line 28 over the dialogue, 27 spaces from the left .
6. Stage directions should also start on line 28, 27 spaces from the left.
7. Actor directions should start on line 18, 17 spaces from the left, and enclosed in parentheses.
8. DO NOT TAB!!!
9. DO NOT INDENT the text in any way, shape or form.
10. Do not double space at the end of sentences.
11. We will add the page numbers.
12. Send pictures or artwork for cover material if at all possible. Make absolutely certain you have the rights to any of this material.
13. Bios should be written in 3rd person. Don't be afraid to brag about yourself.
14. Get yourself a professional (looking) headshot. You're a published author, you deserve it!

If we do decide to publish your play, we will either enter into a contract to split the royalties and book sales, or buy your play outright. Please submit all plays to submissions@blackboxtheatrepublishing.com.
Submission Disclosure and Agreement
In sumitting your material (your "Work") for consideration by The Black Box Theatre Publishing Company you acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. The Black Box Theatre Publishing Company selects material, in its sole discretion, for publication from a large pool of submitted material, and is in no way obligated to publish or consider your Work. The Black Box Theatre Publishing Company will not publish or license your Work without a signed Publishing and Licensing Agreement between you and The Black Box Theatre Publishing Company.
2. You represent and warrant (a) that your Work does not infringe upon any third party's copyright or other property or publicity right; (b) that your Work is original to, and was created and/or written solely by you; and (c) that your Work is not libelous or unlawful.
3. You hereby agree to indemnify and hold The Black Box Theatre Publishing Company, (and its agents) harmless from any and all claims, demands, costs, and liabilities that may arise in connection with a breach or repudiation by you of this Submission Disclosure and Agreement.
